300-word Bio

Lachesis Laval is a film director working through cinematic storytelling, classical visual language, and AI as a moving-image medium. Her films often return to memory, feminine identity, time, post-war European atmosphere, operatic emotion, loneliness, freedom, and human resilience. For her, AI is not the subject of the work; it is a new camera, a cinematic medium that allows an independent filmmaker to approach large-scale visual imagination. She builds each project through writing, visual design, rhythm, sound, and editing, keeping technology in service of character, atmosphere, and memory. Her films have received awards and selections from international AI film festivals, independent film festivals, and creative competitions, including The Golden Cloud Award at OMNI: AI Film Festival, Project Odyssey Season 2 Honorable Mention, RED MOVIE AWARDS recognition, and multiple festival selections. She is currently developing The Minutes, a feature film about three women, three eras, and one inheritance of time.
