At the Peak of Despair

Miranda, the editor-in-chief of a fashion magazine, has lost her son in a car accident. The world around her carries on: the sun shines, people offer condolences, and the distance between their words and her grief feels immense. Following her through work, encounters and time alone, the film explores a mother’s struggle to inhabit a life that loss has transformed. Outward composure offers little protection from what she carries within.
